Quantifying the internal state transitions of LSTM cells.
The primary aim of this research is to decode how Recurrent Neural Networks interpret and predict high-frequency job arrival patterns in distributed computing clusters. By visualizing the "hidden" decision layers, we expose the mathematical elegance of temporal dependencies.
Unlike static models, our visualization framework captures the moment of convergence — the exact epoch where the loss function minimizes and the network identifies the underlying rhythmic signature of incoming data streams.
LSTM Long Short-Term Memory
Forget Gate
Removes irrelevant historical information from the cell state to prioritize recent arrival surges.
Input Gate
Updates the cell state with new job arrival features, such as priority level and node requirement.
Output Gate
Filters the internal state to provide the final arrival probability distribution.
